Welcome to Unit 5! The lessons in this unit are suitable for children ages seven and older. The level of these lessons roughly corresponds to 2nd grade. Younger children or children who struggle with handwriting/copywork should wait to work on the written portions of this unit.
This time in a child’s musical development is when Charlotte Mason started her students on piano lessons. The Music Teacher’s National Association has a listing of qualified teachers in your area. Miss Mason said that students should be taught by master teachers. If such a teacher is not available in your area, Hoffman Academy is a free, online piano lesson program that we recommend.
