Children need to be able to feel the beat of the music. They should be allowed to move freely during all of the lessons on this site.
The following clip is a march (links to more examples are below the video). Get up and march along with the band! Have your children march starting with their dominant foot (the right foot for most kids.) Then switch feet partway through and see if they can do it!
