This ubiquitous nursery song uses the sol, mi, and la syllables in much the same way as A Tisket, A Tasket. If your children are already familiar with the words, see if they can sing along with syllables and hand signs. (It starts on “mi” and ends on a syllable we haven’t covered yet, “do”-pronounced with a long O sound. See the second notation example below for the printed solfa syllables.)
Remember, when singing the solfa syllables, don’t let the children read them from the page. Have then sing along with you and make the hand signs. The following is for parent use only.
